What is Bihar Student Credit Card(BSCC) Scheme?
Many students who come from economically weaker sections could not complete their higher education due to a lack of money.
As you know how expensive it has become to do higher education and also professional courses, the fees are very high.
About 24 percent of students in India go for higher education, while only 14 percent of students from Bihar are able to go for higher education,
Lack of money is a big reason for this, so the Bihar government decided to start different schemes to provide financial help to students in higher education.
When Nitish Kumar again became the Chief Minister in the year 2015, he had announced his seven pledges, one of which was the economic solution to the youth.
The Chief Minister announced a number of schemes under the Economic Solution to the students. Such as scholarship for girls passing 10th and 12th, unemployment allowance, and Bihar Student Credit Card.
Under the BSCC scheme, it was decided to give a loan for higher education to all the students of Bihar, who have studied from Bihar Up to Inter level (10th for Polytechnic), so that they can continue their higher education without any hindrance.

Under Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, education loans of up to ₹ 400000 are given to students of all classes and all religions without any bank guarantee.
The scheme launched on 2 October 2016 is an ambitious scheme of the Government of Bihar.
To implement the scheme properly, the Bihar government decided to form a separate corporation and the Education Finance Corporation was established.
Under this scheme, polytechnics, and almost all courses after inter-are covered.
The process of applying for loans, getting loans and repayment has been made very easy so that more and more students can take advantage of this scheme.
For this scheme, you have to apply online and get your documents verified at the DRCC office offline.
